Tour Itinerary

Below is the detailed schedule for the Wasini Dolphin Tour, from morning pickup to your return in the evening.

 

07:30 – Pick-up from Diani

Your adventure begins with a warm morning pickup from your Diani hotel, possible after breakfast.
For Mombasa guests, special early pickups start from 05:30, depending on your location.

 

Transfer to Shimoni Village

Enjoy a scenic drive of about 1 hour from Diani or 2.5 hours from Mombasa to the historic coastal village of Shimoni.

 

KWS Office – Park Entry

Upon arrival, you will proceed to the Kenya Wildlife Service station to purchase park entry tickets.
Please present your ID or passport for identification.

 

Boat Ride to Kisite Marine Park

Board our traditional dhow or fiber speedboat and cruise through the Mpunguti Islands.
There are high chances of meeting playful dolphins along the way.

The boat ride takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, with sea breezes and beautiful ocean views.

 

Snorkeling at Kisite

Dive into crystal-clear waters guided by our experienced team.
Discover vibrant corals and colorful fish, and if nature allows, snorkel alongside dolphins.

All snorkeling gear is provided.

During low tide, enjoy a dreamy walk on the pristine sandbank or relax under the sun.

 

Seafood Lunch on Wasini Island

Sail to Wasini Island for a delicious Swahili seafood feast.
Chicken and vegetarian options are available.

 

Village Walk & Coral Garden

After lunch, take a short guided walk through the charming old Wasini village.
A visit to the unique Wasini Coral Garden completes the island experience.

 

Return to Shimoni & Drive Back

Enjoy a gentle 15-minute boat ride back to Shimoni, often accompanied by coastal melodies.
A visit to the Shimoni Slave Caves may add spice to your day trip.

Your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel.

Arrival in Diani is around 16:30

Mombasa guests arrive around 19:00, depending on ferry timing and traffic
